Having 3 young ball players myself I have seen it over and over. A Kid throws on their backpack and knocks a teammate in the head with a metal knob that is sticking out. On the drive to a tournament I have heard that rattle of knobs against glass. Getting in and out of the car or walking through a parking lot or crowded venue, the bumps, dings and bruises. I have friends that have had bat warranty issues and the manufacture’s want a photo of the knob. Enter Prototype 1 over 2 years ago. Now for the last few months my kids and some of their teammates have been using different versions. Well I have finally arrived at a product worth sharing and selling. They are all hand made by me in our home. I have a provisional patent for the Knob Crown and several more products in early stages.
